The weather in BsAs this past week has been wonderful. It is such a relief from the sweltering summer months. Today I woke up to thunderstorms and a high of 64 degrees Fahrenheit. I was supposed to meet a friend for coffee and as I was putting on my raincoat and looking for an umbrella, Chico yelled to me from the bedroom balcony. Our street was completely flooded! Water came well above the sidewalk and into the cafes and other businesses across the street. Neighbors were taking pictures of garbage floating down the street. The few random people caught in the storm were in search of higher ground (one even lost a shoe). 2 hours later, it is still raining, but at least the storm drains have caught up and the water levels are going down.
Insane!
